NU:S: Music and video by Davide Severi
NU:S 6th-10th July 2012
Event on fashion and parametric architecture, organized by Double studio featuring work by digital artist Chiara Cola, architects Arturo Tedeschi and Maurizio Degni, fashion designers Flavia Migani and Simone Bruno, shoe designer Alessio Spinelli, composer Davide Severi, dance performers from Opificio in movimento, Chiostro del Bramante, Rome, Italy.
I created costumes with digital prints for the dance performers, inspired by the design of the human neuronal system, with a central structure (whose print has been worn by the main dancer) ,also recalling the physical structure created by the architect Arturo Tedeschi, and all the filaments and tentacles, portrayed as digital and architectural landscapes.
I have always been intrigued by the activity and functions of neurons: i also saw in it an example of a generative system, similar to the process and aesthetics of parametric architecture.
